MAGIC - IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD!
Whenever I'm asked if magic is real, I feel the need to determine what is meant by "magic." More often than not, those who ask are referring to the magic they've seen in Harry Potter or Charmed ... the type where magic words and a magic wand or amulet give a person the power to fly or transform someone into something outrageous. While words and objects can certainly have power, for the most part, it's the user giving these things their power, and not the other way around.
There is real magic in everything around you, and you already have within you the ability to create a magical life for yourself. Wands, amulets, and especially words, are simply used to help you focus your thoughts. One of the best definitions of magic I found, was in "The 21 Lessons of Merlyn" by Douglas Monroe. The training of the WILL seemed to be the very heart of Merlyn's teachings. He tells his young student "The true definition of Magic, little one, does not center around spells or incantations, or the mysterious waving of arms... no. As is recorded in the Blue Book of our forefathers, true Magic is 'The art and science of changing states of mind at will.' And as we have learned by experience, action follows thought."
The bottom line is that YOU make it happen. Use tools such as relaxing sounds and music, fragrance or aromatherapy, and candles, stones, pendants or even wands, to help you focus your thoughts. But always remember, these are ONLY tools, and not the true source of magic. Real magic is all in your head!
Well put. This can also serve as a warning. Even if you do not have your wand or amulet with you you can still perform spells, and if you have bad intentions you might get a backlash when you thought you were safe.

I totally agree with you on this.
We have magic within us that we have forgotten because each life time we have we rediscover it in many ways.
Sometimes its a word that will give us meaning and unlock a door into our minds.
It starts out when we are small with books of Faieries and magical dragons..thus our imagination is awakened with in our minds and causes us to want more.. it feeds us.
Life is in all things and energy and power comes from all things .. our memories hold the key to remembering it all

I just wanted to say that i am enjoying all of the information i have been reading about especially the part that is saying that magic is all around you, you do not need amulets or candles to spread positive thought and so far i am experiencing this way of life to be all everyone should want positively, time for me to move on i feel a need to read more. bye for now

I think that it's absolutely true. I used something like spells even before I had ever heard about magic. But now, I know what I'm doing and I know, how is it called.

What you have written is ro true. People tend to forget just how simple magick really is. There was a time when the craft was practiced with out all the tools we have now.
It is about what's inside of you. That's where it lays. All of us have magick inside. We just have to learn to reach deep in and pull it out.

i am a natural witch, i have been studying wicca for 2 years, i have binded a lot of people, i have made it rain and also other things that i can not name of. magic is in my hand and i have the power to make people go crazy, is that bad or good? i think im taking a bad path and a good path at the same time.

I'm only in middle school but i'm still trying to get involved with wicca as much as i can. i even introduced some of my friends to it and my sister has too. i'd really appreciate it if i could get some help on how to get more material to further my studies per se

I am in total agreement of your posts..I have read all of your posts..I am an Empath among other gifts that Spirit has gifted to me..My reason for saying I'm Empathic, is to let you know that I not only see Great words of wisdom, but also your Heart, is in your words to all, the Beginner and the Adapt.I have taught others on the subject of props,@tools ,but true power comes from within..
I now do my rituals and my spell craft with verry little props, except for some occasions ,where I have the participation of the receiver..I do most of my spell craft , without the use of props and tools.But I do honor the energies,and the animate, inanimate energies, in my Rituals and in my study and in my students experiments.I have made all my students aware of the phrase(s) (that I hold quite passionately),and these are Hernes words of wisdom, the Wiccan Reed, we are the Magic,it is within you.. your words of wisdom:Kardia

I believe our souls are our source of magic. We are all born with it. You know... "inner light".
As to directing our magic. That is where we begin to use tools. Even meditation is a tool. Perhaps the first wand was a spoon used to stir medicinal brews. I know when I stir my dinner I think good thoughts about who will be eating it and I direct positive energy to them in this way. I sweep my house with intentions of removing detrimental occupants not just dust and dirt. I burn my candles knowing that the smoke will fill the smallest corners and crevices with my intentions. Yes our mind is the greatest tool that our souls use for our inner magic.

Magick is brilliance, Magick is love, Magick is nature.
The undeniable connection to the earth and the divine is a beautiful and empowering thing, i feel very blessed to have such knowledge, open mindedness and experience. I feel sorry for those who dent access such a connection. It has brought such joy to my life, i couldn't go without it now. I meditate for at least 1 hour everyday if i have time. When i wake i ground myself and when im about to go to bed i ground myself, i find it helps me sleep allot smoother. I have had issues with people misusing magick in the past. A person summoned an evil spirit to harm and harass me and that went on for some time.
